Srinagar: The Kashmir unit of the BJP on Wednesday conducted a series of blood donation camps across the valley to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
A BJP spokesperson said, “These camps were organised to honour PM Modi’s lifelong commitment to selfless service for the nation.” The initiative in Kashmir was spearheaded by J&K BJP General Secretary Ashok Koul.
The campaign received a strong response, with over 600 units of blood collected across nine districts. In Srinagar, 80 units were donated, followed by 30 in Ganderbal and 53 in Budgam. South Kashmir saw 20 units in Pulwama, 42 in Shopian, 20 in Kulgam, and 80 in Anantnag. In North Kashmir, 50 units were collected in Baramulla and 48 in Bandipora.
Additionally, the BJP Yuva Morcha contributed 38 units, while the minority morcha organised special drives that collected nearly 150 units of blood.
