Chandigarh: A Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist, wanted in several violent crimes, has been extradited from the UAE, Punjab Police chief Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday.
The accused, Parminder Singh alias Pindi, a close associate of foreign-based terrorists Harwinder Singh Rinda and Happy Passia, was brought from Abu Dhabi in coordination with central agencies.
According to Yadav, Pindi was involved in petrol bomb attacks, violent assaults, and extortion cases in Batala, Gurdaspur.
Sharing details on X, Yadav said that following a Red Corner Notice (RCN) issued at Batala Police’s request, a four-member team led by a senior officer travelled to the UAE on September 24. Working with the Ministry of External Affairs and Emirati authorities, they completed legal formalities and secured his extradition to India.
