Washington: South Korean superstar Jisoo from Blackpink has joined forces with Zayn Malik for a new duet titled “Eyes Closed.” The much-anticipated track officially dropped today.
The song delves into the emotions of new love, with both artists exchanging heartfelt verses about embracing romance. Jisoo expresses her yearning for affection, while Malik — known for his hit “Dusk Till Dawn” — gently asks her to stay “patient.”
In the chorus, the pair promise to “fall in love with our eyes closed,” supported by warm keys, acoustic guitar, deep bass synths, and lush atmospheric sounds.
Jisoo shared the release on her Instagram on Friday.
The collaboration arrives as Jisoo continues touring with Blackpink on their Deadline World Tour, which has been selling out stadiums across multiple continents, according to Variety. Upcoming tour stops include Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Japan, and Hong Kong through January 2026.
During the tour, Jisoo also performs solo tracks from her debut mini-album “Amortage,” released earlier this year, featuring singles such as “Earthquake” and “Your Love.”
Meanwhile, Zayn Malik is gearing up for his first-ever Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in January 2026, following his 2024 album “Room Under the Stairs” and his debut solo tour across the U.S., U.K., and Mexico. His latest release, “Break Free,” was created for the video game Borderlands 4.
Malik first made history with his solo debut “Mind of Mine,” becoming the first U.K. male solo artist to debut at No. 1 on both the U.K. and U.S. album charts simultaneously.
Jisoo, who launched her solo career in 2023 with the single album “Me,” achieved record-breaking success as it became the best-selling album by a solo female artist in South Korea and the first to surpass one million copies sold, Variety reported.
