Washington, December 1 — US Secretary of State Antony Blinken described recent talks between the United States and Ukraine on the ongoing Russia war as “productive,” while cautioning that significant work still lies ahead to address the conflict and its consequences.
Speaking after high-level discussions with Ukrainian officials, Blinken said the talks focused on military assistance, humanitarian support, and long-term reconstruction needs. He emphasised that the US remains committed to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Our dialogue was constructive and forward-looking, but there is still much to be done to ensure Ukraine’s security and stability,” Blinken noted. He added that Washington will continue to coordinate closely with allies and partners to sustain pressure on Russia and strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
Officials said the talks also covered energy resilience, economic recovery, and measures to counter disinformation campaigns. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to democratic values and international law in confronting Russia’s aggression.
The Secretary of State reiterated that while progress has been made, the path to peace and stability requires sustained effort and global cooperation.
