Boulder crashes onto vehicle in Doda, leaving one dead

Doda/Jammu: A 32-year-old woman died and five others were injured after a boulder rolled down a hill and hit a passenger vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Wednesday, officials said.

The accident took place near Baswal village along the Doda-Bharat road, they added.

Rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted all six passengers — residents of Bharat Bagla village — to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Doda.

One of the passengers, identified as Razia Begum, succumbed to her injuries, while the injured — Sonia Devi (32), Zulaikha Begum (30), Kamran (2), Ghulam Hassan (31), and Imran Hussain (4) — are undergoing treatment at the hospital, officials said.
