Chandigarh: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested Punjab Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Harcharan Singh Bhullar in connection with a graft case, sources said.
According to officials, Bhullar was apprehended from his office in Mohali. Further details about the case are awaited.
A 2007-batch IPS officer, Bhullar is currently serving as DIG of the Ropar Range, which includes the districts of Mohali, Rupnagar, and Fatehgarh Sahib.
He has previously held key positions including DIG (Patiala Range), Joint Director in the Vigilance Bureau, and Senior Superintendent of Police in Jagraon, Mohali, and Sangrur.
