NEW DELHI: Senior bureaucrat Rahul Singh has been granted a two-year extension as Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), according to an official order.
Singh, a 1996-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Bihar cadre, was initially appointed to the role on March 13 last year.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Singh’s central deputation tenure for an additional two years beyond November 11, 2025—extending it up to November 11, 2027, the Personnel Ministry stated in an order dated August 6.
