Srinagar, November 28, 2025: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) held a meeting today to discuss strategies for the revival and promotion of tourism in the region. The session brought together business leaders, tourism stakeholders, and industry experts to identify ways to attract more visitors and support local enterprises.

During the meeting, participants highlighted the challenges faced by the tourism sector, including the recent downturn in visitor arrivals, infrastructure gaps, and the need for enhanced marketing initiatives. The Chamber emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between government authorities, businesses, and local communities to restore confidence and stimulate growth in the sector.

CCIK members proposed several measures, including the development of tourist-friendly facilities, promotional campaigns, investment incentives, and skill development programs for workers in the hospitality and tourism industry. The Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with the government and other stakeholders to ensure a sustainable revival of tourism in Kashmir, benefiting both visitors and local businesses.
