NEW DELHI, Nov 16: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat Chauhan has stated that the best practices from the Army, Navy, and Air Force will be incorporated to enhance jointness among the three services. Speaking at a defence conference in New Delhi, he emphasized the importance of greater integration and coordination to strengthen India’s overall military effectiveness.
Gen Chauhan highlighted that adopting the proven strategies and operational methods from each service will allow the armed forces to operate more cohesively during complex missions. This approach aims to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enhance interoperability across land, air, and maritime domains.
He also noted that joint exercises, combined training programs, and integrated planning processes are being strengthened to ensure that the three services can seamlessly collaborate in both peacetime and operational scenarios. The CDS underlined that these initiatives are part of a broader effort to modernize India’s defence forces and ensure readiness to respond to evolving security challenges.
