Celebration of National Anti-Terrorism Day at Poonch, Rajouri & Reasi

Poonch, Rajouri & Reasi: Keeping in view of Indian Army’s core objective of maintaining cordial relations with local citizens and with the aim of motivating the future of the nation, the school children, about important societal issues, educating them about importance of peaceful living and co-existence in the society, Indian Army celebrated ‘National Anti-Terrorism Day’ at Chakan, Samote, Sabra, Ichini in Poonch Rajouri and Reasi District.

The event was organised to raise awareness about the dangers of terrorism and violence. During this event, representative of Indian Army gave speech about the harmful effects of terrorism and violence on society, highlighting the suffering it causes and its negative impact on national interest. A total strength of 67 locals, 228 Students, and 15 Teachers attended the event.

This event helped to educate and spread the awareness of Patriotic Values and Ingredients of Nation Building, Concept of Good Citizenship, Emotional Connection with the Country and Duties of Citizens amongst the local populace and Students. Representative of Indian Army reminded students and local populace about destructive impact of terrorism on humanity and the need to promote peace, harmony and national unity.

The Students and Teachers appreciated the initiative taken by Indian Army for the welfare of local populace, students and the society. This endeavour by the Indian Army to reach out to the population residing in remote areas, where civil administration has limited accessibility, will go a long way in developing and strengthening trust between Jawan and Awam.

The event also served as a platform to strengthen the bond between Indian Army and the people of this region. It showcased Indian Army’s commitment towards service to the nation.
