DODA: The Chenab Book Mela/Literary Fest 2024, a five-day cultural and literary festival organized by Ehsaas Charitable Trust and Chenab Valley AMU Alumni Association, in collaboration with the District Administration Doda and Municipal Council Doda, is attracting huge footfall of visitors to the Community Hall- the venue of the event.
Running from November 5 to November 10, 2024, the festival brought together literary enthusiasts, cultural performers, and the community for a vibrant celebration of the arts and literature.
Today’s events included a motivational and interactive session featuring Rupesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh and Assistant Professor Dr. Jamsheed Ahmed, along with other distinguished officers, senior citizens, and a large gathering of students from different schools at Community Hall Doda.
Throughout the festival, attendees are enjoying a rich program, including cultural performances, Mushaira (poetic symposium), Sofiyana Shaam (Sufi music evening), Ba’it Baazi (poetry contest), literary discussions, extempore sessions, symposiums, writer interactions, open mic events and more.
The mela also features book stalls showcasing a wide array of literary works and food stalls, with activities continuing until November 10, 2024.
