JAMMU: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Ashok Kumar, who served as Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir from October 17, 1994, to October 9, 1996.
In his condolence message, Dulloo described Ashok Kumar as an able administrator and a distinguished civil servant who devoted his career to the service of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He recalled that Kumar was widely respected for his integrity, commitment, and administrative acumen, which left a lasting impression on colleagues and the public alike. Dulloo added that the former Chief Secretary’s contributions to public administration in the Union Territory would be remembered with deep appreciation and gratitude.
Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, the Chief Secretary prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the family to bear the irreparable loss.
