Pempa Tsering, a senior Tibetan leader, has criticized China for alienating the younger generation from their Tibetan identity through a range of restrictive measures.
He pointed out that policies limiting the use of the Tibetan language in schools, restrictions on religious and cultural practices, and efforts to integrate Tibetans into mainstream Chinese culture are contributing to a gradual erosion of traditional Tibetan values.
According to Tsering, these actions are creating a generation that is increasingly disconnected from its heritage, posing a serious threat to the preservation of Tibetan culture.
He urged the international community to pay closer attention to these developments and called for measures to safeguard Tibetan cultural identity and protect the rights of local communities in the region.
