New Delhi, Dec 5: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has taken serious note of operational disruptions and widespread cancellations of flights across IndiGo’s network, officials said on Friday.

Union Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu chaired a high‑level review meeting with IndiGo’s senior management to assess the situation. The Minister expressed clear displeasure over the manner in which the airline handled the disruptions, emphasising the need for accountability and immediate corrective measures.

Officials said the Ministry has directed IndiGo to ensure passenger convenience and safety remain the top priority. The airline has been asked to submit a detailed report on the causes of the cancellations and the steps being taken to restore normal operations.

The review meeting also discussed contingency planning, passenger support mechanisms, and measures to prevent recurrence of such large‑scale disruptions. The Ministry reiterated its commitment to protecting consumer rights and maintaining operational discipline in the aviation sector.
