Srinagar Nov 19:Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called for clear answers and full accountability regarding the Nowgam blast, which claimed the lives of police personnel and left several others injured. Expressing deep concern over the circumstances leading to the tragic incident, the Chief Minister said that the public and the families of the victims deserve transparency on how explosives were handled inside the police premises.
The Chief Minister emphasised that such a grave lapse cannot be overlooked and urged the authorities to expedite a thorough investigation. He also reiterated the need to fix responsibility to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
Omar Abdullah reaffirmed his solidarity with the bereaved families and those undergoing treatment. He assured them that the government will ensure all support and take every necessary measure to enhance safety protocols across police establishments.
