SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunil Sharma on Monday launched a sharp critique of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accusing him of shirking responsibility and failing to address key issues.

Speaking to the media, Sharma claimed that Abdullah projects an image of managing all transfers and administrative matters but steps back when it comes to actual governance. “He always says he has no powers when action is required. These are leaders who have failed and show no concern for the poor. Today, the focus should be on real development, not excuses,” he said.

Sharma also highlighted that the Government of India is reviewing compensation for flood victims. “We remain committed to our promises and will ensure that relief reaches those affected,” he added.
