SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah yesterday inaugurated the Kashmir Marathon–2025 Exposition at Polo View, Srinagar, marking the culmination of preparations for the much-awaited second edition of the marathon, scheduled to take place on November 2 in the scenic city.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected various stalls and counters set up by government departments, private sports brands, and event partners. The exposition features a wide array of sports gear, fitness equipment, and accessories, aimed at promoting outdoor activities and a healthy lifestyle. It also includes bib collection centres and on-spot registration counters for marathon participants.





Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Director Tourism Kashmir Raja Yaqoob, event organisers, and senior officials were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister interacted with stall owners, athletes, and volunteers, commending their efforts to foster a vibrant sports culture in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier this week, Omar Abdullah had unveiled the official merchandise of Kashmir Marathon–2025 at Royal Springs Golf Course. The collection includes a cap, medal, and racing kit, symbolising endurance, unity, and the spirit of the event.
Inviting fitness enthusiasts to participate, the Chief Minister encouraged citizens to “test their stamina and celebrate the natural beauty of Kashmir through sport,” highlighting the marathon’s role in promoting wellness and tourism in the region.
