SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Vijay Chopra, Padma Shri awardee and Editor of the Punjab Kesari/Hind Samachar Group, for his generous donation of Rs 11 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood-affected families.
The Chief Minister said such contributions exemplify the spirit of solidarity and compassion, which are crucial during times of crisis.
“I sincerely thank Shri Vijay Chopra for this generous gesture. His support will bolster our ongoing efforts to provide relief and rehabilitation to families affected by the recent floods. It is through such collective initiatives that we can offer hope and assistance to those in need,” he stated.
He further emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that every contribution is effectively directed toward meaningful aid for the affected families.
