Commissioner Secretary YSS reviews progress of Capex, SASCI projects
JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary, Youth Services & Sports (YSS), Yasha Mudgal today chaired a review meeting to evaluate the progress of ongoing and new projects under Capex and SASCI being implemented by the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports.
The meeting was attended by the Director General YSS, Special Secretary YSS, Director Finance YSS, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Director Planning, Accounts Officer, Executive Engineers, and other concerned officials.
During the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary stressed the need for timely completion of Capex and SASCI projects aimed at strengthening sports infrastructure for the youth and students across Jammu and Kashmir. She directed the officers to achieve 80% physical and financial progress by December 2025 and ensure 100% expenditure of all projects by March 31, 2026.
Yasha Mudgal emphasized the importance of weekly monitoring of projects at the District, Divisional, and Directorate levels to ensure timely execution. She instructed the DG YSS to submit details of completed works pending closure due to liabilities, along with completion certificates, so that the Finance Department can release pending funds and assets can be formally handed over for public use.
The Commissioner Secretary also directed the DG YSS to prepare district-wise reports on physical and financial progress of both ongoing and new works and to resolve issues related to land, nomenclature changes, or other administrative matters on priority.
She further directed the Executive Engineer to submit DPRs of pending works within one week and secure technical sanctions for all pending projects within ten days.
Reiterating the Government’s commitment, Yasha Mudgal said the focus remains on developing robust sports infrastructure, consolidating assets, nurturing young talent, and ensuring timely completion of all initiatives across Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, the DG YSS made a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the progress of ongoing and new works under Capex 2025 and SASCI projects.
