Rajouri: Embracing the festive spirit of Diwali, the festival of lights, the Balnoi Battalion organised a heart-warming community event to spread joy and strengthen local bonds. The celebration featured the distribution of sports equipment, cricket kits, and festive treats among locals, youth, and children, highlighting the importance of fitness, teamwork, and togetherness.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young athletes across neighbouring villages, including Balnoi, Mankote, Sagra, Dabraj, and nearby areas along the Line of Control (LOC). Participants received new cricket kits, sports gear, and other essentials — a gesture symbolizing encouragement, unity, and the power of collaboration. The inclusion of sweets added a traditional Diwali touch, filling the atmosphere with happiness and festive cheer.
A representative of the Balnoi Battalion said, “Diwali represents light, joy, and hope. Through this initiative, we seek to inspire our youth to channel their energy into sports and constructive pursuits.”
