Rajouri: The Indian Army successfully concluded the Capt Pranjal, SC (Posthumous) Sports Festival 2025 at Kalakote Stadium, held from October 13 to 16 under Operation Sadbhavana. The event was organised to honour the supreme sacrifice of Capt Pranjal, SC, while promoting sports and physical fitness among youth.
The four-day festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from 14 schools, with 192 boys and 121 girls competing across various disciplines. The event drew an audience of over 190 spectators, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kalakote, the Zonal Sports Officer, and 30 teachers.
Competitions were held in Volleyball (Boys), Kho-Kho (Girls), and Athletics events for both boys and girls across different age groups. The final day featured exciting Volleyball and Kho-Kho finals, along with athletic events such as the 50m, 100m, and 200m sprints, Long Jump, and High Jump.
The festival concluded with a Grand Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies, medals, and gifts. The enthusiasm and joy among the young participants reflected the event’s success and positive community impact.
The Capt Pranjal, SC Sports Festival 2025 not only celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship but also strengthened the bond between the Indian Army and local youth. It stood as a fitting tribute to Capt Pranjal, SC—a symbol of valour, dedication, and inspiration—motivating the next generation to embrace teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.
