Rajouri: On the occasion of National Pulses Day, which has been celebrated every year in India since its announcement by the Indian government in 2016 to promote the cultivation and consumption of pulses, Indian Army took this opportunity to interact with students and locals, thereby contributing to the cause by spreading awareness through a lecture delivered at Govt Middle School, Moriyan.

The lecture aimed to raise awareness about the importance of pulses in our diet, encourage farmers to grow more pulses to meet the increasing demand, and promote research and development in pulse production. The local farmers and women engaged in open dialogues, showing their enthusiasm and interest in pulse farming, which was humbly reciprocated and encouraged. The event concluded with a closing address by Mukhtiar Ahmad, thanking the Indian Army for this awareness lecture, followed by a group photograph and new learnings for the attendees, thus fostering harmony and respect between civilians and the Indian Army.
