Poonch: The Indian Army undertook a significant medical patrol to the higher reaches in the General Area of Dhoop Top (Surankote). The patrol navigated through numerous Dhoks and Dheras, providing crucial medical assistance to vulnerable demographics, including elderly individuals, women, and children, who lack adequate access to healthcare facilities.
The medical team also reached remote areas that are difficult to access, ensuring that the underserved populations were not left behind. During the patrol, the Army medical team administered basic treatments, conducted health check-ups, and distributed essential medications to address the pressing health needs of the villagers. Along with treating common ailments, the team provided health education and advice on maintaining hygiene and preventive healthcare.
This initiative underscores the Army’s commitment to serving communities residing in challenging and underserved regions. A total of 30 locals benefited from the medical patrol, receiving timely care and support in their most vulnerable times.
