Jabalpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the world, facing multiple crises, is now looking toward India with hope for solutions to its many challenges.

Speaking at the Jeevan Utkarsh Mahotsav, organised by a prominent religious organisation in Jabalpur on Monday, Bhagwat said the world’s expectations from India stem from its deep-rooted faith in religion, culture, and moral values.

He explained that culture, in essence, means virtuous and ethical conduct, and people can behave decently only when there is mutual goodwill and a sense of connection. Without these, he cautioned, hostility and conflicts emerge.

Bhagwat highlighted that India has preserved its spiritual and cultural heritage through the ages, enabling it to guide the world whenever needed.

“In truth, we are all one and interconnected. India recognises this unity, but the world does not. That is why the world today is in turmoil and looks to India for guidance,” he said.

He added that nations are now eager to learn from India how to live in harmony with spirituality and righteousness.

Emphasising the importance of spiritual leadership, Bhagwat said saints provide direction to society, which is why the RSS remains connected with them.

Ishwarcharan Swami, a spiritual leader of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, attended the event’s inaugural session. The five-day Jeevan Utkarsh Mahotsav celebrates the life, teachings, and service of Jabalpur-born Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the global BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.

On the occasion, Bhagwat also released a book authored by Swami Bhadreshdas and remarked that the scholar-monk’s ideas remain highly relevant in today’s times.
