Jammu, Dec 5: Jammu and Kashmir Police have busted a cross‑border narco‑terror network, arresting six persons and seizing five kilograms of heroin in a major operation, officials said on Friday.

The crackdown followed intelligence inputs on the smuggling of narcotics across the Line of Control, allegedly intended to fund terror activities. Police teams carried out coordinated raids in multiple locations, leading to the arrests and recovery of the contraband.

Officials said the seized heroin has an estimated value running into crores in the international market. Preliminary investigations suggest the network was linked to handlers across the border, with proceeds from the trade being channelled to support militant groups.

The arrested individuals are being questioned, and further arrests are likely as the probe expands. Police emphasised that the operation reflects their commitment to dismantling narco‑terror modules that threaten security and stability in the region.
