Kathua: Deputy Commissioner Cancels All Leaves for Government Employees Amid Heavy Rainfall
The Deputy Commissioner of Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, has ordered the immediate cancellation of all leaves for government employees in the district, excluding medical leave, due to ongoing heavy rainfall and flood-like conditions.
In his order, Sharma stated, “All types of leaves sanctioned to government employees of all departments within District Kathua are hereby cancelled with immediate effect.” Furthermore, no new leave applications will be entertained without the Deputy Commissioner’s approval.
Employees currently on leave have been directed to report back to their respective offices immediately. Heads of Departments have been instructed to ensure strict compliance, with non-compliance potentially leading to disciplinary action.
The measure aims to ensure that government departments are fully staffed and prepared to respond to any emergency or relief operations during the severe weather situation.
