DC Kishtwar reviews working of Revenue Department

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan convened an important review meeting with officials from the Revenue Department to assess the progress in land record digitization, updating of Jamabandi records and the implementation of land management strategies in the district.
He emphasized the importance of timely digitization and transparency in land records management, urging a citizen-centric approach to swiftly resolve land-related grievances and enhance public trust in the district’s digital services. The DC directed officials to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery, warning of strict action, including suspension, against those found issuing incorrect certificates.

The issue of expeditious uploading of all Jamabandi records online and thorough quality checks to identify and rectify any errors were also discussed. Instructions were given to address pending land mutation and income certificates, and to expedite demarcation processes.

Officials were directed to verify physical records to ensure accuracy and consistency with digital records.
Additionally, in light of rising fire incidents, DC Kishtwar advised the issuance of public safety advisories at the sub-divisional and Tehsil levels. Tehsildars, along with Forest officers not below the rank of Range Officers, were instructed to monitor fire safety measures and conduct regular ground-level reviews.
The meeting highlighted DC Kishtwar’s commitment to streamlined, transparent, and citizen-friendly land management, aiming to bring substantial improvements in public service delivery.

The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Kishtwar Nirbhay Sharma, Tehsildar Nagseni Mohammad Rafie Naik, Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Parvez Ahmed Butt, NT’s besides other revenue officers and officials.
