DC Kupwara evaluates ongoing works under HADP, JKCIP

Kupwara, Nov 21: The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress of ongoing works under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and the Jammu & Kashmir Climate Investment Plan (JKCIP). Officers from agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and allied departments attended the session and presented updated progress reports.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took department-wise feedback on project implementation, physical achievements, financial status, and timelines for completion. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among all concerned departments to ensure timely execution of activities aimed at boosting the district’s agriculture and allied sectors.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officers to address bottlenecks affecting on-ground progress and to ensure that benefits of the programmes reach farmers, orchardists, and livestock owners in a transparent manner. He emphasized that HADP and JKCIP hold significant potential for transforming rural livelihoods by promoting sustainable practices, climate resilience, and market-driven interventions.

He further called for regular field monitoring, strict adherence to timelines, and submission of updated progress reports. The Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration is committed to ensuring effective implementation of all agriculture-oriented schemes for holistic rural development.

The meeting concluded with directions for accelerated execution of pending works and improved coordination among departments for smooth rollout of both programmes across the district.
