Pays Tribute at Prominent Religious Shrines
POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, today visited the Mandi–Loran areas to inspect ongoing developmental works.
During the tour, he engaged with the Mandi Mandir Management Committee and local residents at Loran, listening to their concerns and assuring timely redressal of genuine issues. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to grassroots development and public welfare.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the landslide-affected area near Nangali Sahib and reviewed the progress of restoration efforts.
As part of his visit, he offered prayers at Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Mandir in Mandi, Sai Illahi Baksh Ziyarat at Battalkote, and Gurudwara Dera Santpura in Nangali Sahib, seeking peace, communal harmony, and regional prosperity.
Highlighting Poonch’s rich cultural and spiritual diversity, he reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to equitable development, social cohesion, and interfaith harmony, noting that unity in diversity continues to be the district’s guiding strength.
