RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review the implementation of flagship schemes in the district.
During the session, the DC conducted a comprehensive appraisal of departmental performance and progress across key sectors, including Health, Social Welfare, Financial Inclusion, Urban Development, Housing, and other civic programs.
While reviewing PMAY-Urban, he assessed applications received, processed, and houses sanctioned, directing timely release of installments, physical verification of progress, and updated reports on Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) in municipalities, emphasizing strict adherence to timelines.
The DC instructed the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) to expedite expenditure under approved schemes to ensure timely delivery of benefits to target groups. Highlighting universal health coverage, he urged the Health Department to accelerate the generation of ABHA IDs for citizens.
Assessing Block Public Health Units, he evaluated their functional status, manpower, and infrastructure needs. He also emphasized faster financial expenditure and project execution under AMRUT.
On financial inclusion under the Jan Dhan Yojana, the DC called for intensified efforts to achieve full coverage. He further reviewed PMAY-Rural housing progress, stressing early completion of sanctioned units.
Deputy Commissioner Sharma urged all officers to remove bottlenecks and ensure efficient service delivery, underlining that timely implementation of schemes is vital for developmental goals and strengthening grassroots governance.
The meeting was attended by CPO Rajouri Maqsood Ahmed, ACR Mohd Jahangir Khan, while all district and sectoral officers joined virtually.
