RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 26: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma on Wednesday reviewed the status of Thandapani village, which falls under the alignment of the Akhnoor Road project. The review was aimed at assessing progress of land acquisition, rehabilitation measures, and resolving pending issues affecting local residents.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with villagers and listened to concerns related to compensation, relocation, and essential public services. He directed the concerned revenue and executing agencies to ensure transparency, timely processing of cases, and proper coordination with affected families.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised that infrastructure projects of such scale require sensitive handling and reiterated the administration’s commitment to safeguarding public interest while ensuring smooth implementation of the Akhnoor Road project.
Officers from revenue, PWD, and other line departments accompanied the Deputy Commissioner and briefed him on the present status of work and pending requirements. He instructed departments to expedite procedures and ensure that all bottlenecks are addressed in a time-bound manner.
