POONCH: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Vikas Kundal, convened a crucial meeting today at the DC Office complex to review the implementation of the Gati Sanchar Portal Network system aimed at centralizing Right of Way (RoW) approvals for infrastructure projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including ACD, ACP, XEN PWD), DIO NIC, SDO BSNL and representatives from the revenue department.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kundal sought a comprehensive update on the progress of various connectivity infrastructure initiatives. He inquired about: Forest Site Status, Land Acquisition Progress and Civil Work Status for USOF 4G Saturation Project, BharatNet VSAT GP Status, Amended BharatNet Programme, Status of RoW Applications, Electricity Connections for Mobile Towers and other related issues.
Emphasizing the critical need for improved infrastructure connectivity, particularly in remote areas, DC Kundal highlighted that enhanced connectivity is essential for the overall development of the district. He urged all departments to expedite their efforts and collaborate effectively to overcome challenges faced in the implementation of these vital projects.
The GatiShakti Sanchar initiative aims to streamline and enhance infrastructure development by ensuring efficient project approvals and coordination among various stakeholders. The DC reiterated the importance of timely execution to benefit the local population and improve access to services and opportunities.
