POONCH: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting today in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office complex to review the status of projects taken up under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The focus of the review was to enhance rural connectivity in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted an in-depth evaluation of the project-wise progress of the ongoing initiatives. The status of bridge constructions associated with different road projects was discussed in the meeting.
During extensive review of all PMGSY projects, the DC directed the concerned authorities to expedite the progress of work and achieve 100 percent targets set by the Government.
The DC emphasized the need for executing agencies to eliminate unnecessary delays in pending works. He urged all involved to adhere strictly to quality standards in their projects to ensure the development of durable assets, ultimately benefiting the local population through improved connectivity.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Engineer of PMGSY Poonch/Mendhar, alongside all Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), Assistant Engineers (AEs), and Junior Engineers (JEs) from the PMGSY Department.
