DC, SSP conduct security review and inspect development works in Surankote
POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, along with Senior Superintendent of Police, Shafket Hussain Bhat, conducted an extensive tour of Sub-Division Surankote to review security arrangements and assess developmental activities in the area.
During the visit, the officers carried out a comprehensive security audit of the Parnai Power Project, inspecting labour camps and interacting with workers and representatives of the executing agency to evaluate security measures and living conditions at the site.
The DC and SSP directed the concerned officers to ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, enhance surveillance, and maintain round-the-clock vigilance around all labour accommodations to prevent any untoward incidents.
Later, they inspected various development sites at Draba, Machaki, and Mastan Dhara to review the progress and quality of ongoing works. The officers stressed the need for timely completion of projects while ensuring adherence to safety norms and quality standards.
They were accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Farooq Khan, SDPO, Tehsildar, and other civil and police officers, who briefed them on local issues and the status of ongoing developmental initiatives in their respective areas.
