REASI: To review the progress of the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP) implemented by NITI Aayog in Reasi District, a comprehensive meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan.
At the outset, the DDC conducted a detailed review of the sector-wise activities in Thakarkote Block, which have been undertaken as part of the ABP. The review encompassed six key performance indicators that cover various aspects, including Health & Nutrition, Social Development, Agriculture and allied services.
The DDC highlighted a significant achievement in the health sector, stating, 100% of the population in Thakarkote Block will be screened for diabetes and hypertension by the month of June. The meeting also addressed the progress in other key sectors and discussed strategies to enhance the implementation of the ABP in Thakarkote Block.
The DDC emphasized the need for continued collaboration, coordination and competence among the departments to achieve the desired outcomes and improve the quality of life for the residents. ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, PO Poshan Mohammad Anwar Banday, ACD Pardeep Kumar, Chief Agriculture Officer and other concerned officers were present.
