Jammu: Activists of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Rashtriya Bajrang Dal on Wednesday held separate anti-Pakistan protests in Jammu, demanding strict action against those responsible for the recent Delhi car blast.
The demonstrations, held at Indira Chowk and outside the Jammu bus stand, concluded peacefully as protesters raised slogans and burnt Pakistani flags along with effigies and photographs of terrorist leaders, including Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar and Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Mohammad Sayeed.
The protests came hours after police busted a terror module with links to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, arresting three doctors and five others. A high-intensity explosion later ripped through a slow-moving car near Delhi’s Red Fort, killing 12 people and injuring several others.
Police said around 2,900 kilograms of explosive and inflammable materials were recovered during the multi-state operation spanning Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
“Pakistan has learnt no lesson from Operation Sindoor and continues to spread its nefarious activities beyond Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already said any terror act will be treated as an act of war, and it’s time to end the mother of terrorism,” said J&K Shiv Sena (UBT) president Manish Sahni.
He added that the involvement of white-collar individuals in terror activities is a serious concern and urged authorities to identify and act against those working against the nation.
Rashtriya Bajrang Dal leader Rakesh Bajrangi also demanded stringent measures against Pakistan for its continued patronage of terrorism.
