Srinagar, Nov 25: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari has termed the involvement of a Kashmiri doctor in the recent Delhi car blast as alarming, warning that the incident should serve as a wake-up call for the nation.
Bukhari said that when educated professionals, who are expected to contribute positively to society, turn towards extremist activities, it reflects a dangerous trend. He emphasised that such developments must be addressed urgently to safeguard peace and stability.
The Delhi blast on November 10 claimed 15 lives and injured several others after a car exploded near the Red Fort. Investigators revealed that the accused, including Kashmiri doctor Umar-un-Nabi, had been radicalised during their medical studies and internship.
Bukhari urged authorities to take comprehensive measures to counter radicalisation and ensure that educated youth are guided towards constructive roles in nation-building. He reiterated that society must remain vigilant against extremist forces and work collectively to uphold harmony.
