NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Monday set aside a Central Information Commission (CIC) directive that sought disclosure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bachelor’s degree details.
Justice Sachin Datta, who had reserved the verdict on February 27, delivered the judgment on a plea filed by Delhi University challenging the CIC’s 2016 order.
The CIC had, in response to an RTI application by one Neeraj, permitted inspection of records of all students who cleared the BA examination in 1978 — the year Modi also graduated.
