REASI : A one day Training program under Agriculture Extension (ATMA) scheme was organised today at village Kheral Zone Dharan Reasi.
Deputy Director General ICAR, Dr. Udham Singh Gautam presided over the event in presence of Administrative Officers of ICAR District Agriculture Officer Dharmari Rajesh Verma and Head KVK Dr Banarsi Lal besides DDM NABARD and farmers.
Dr Gautam, while interacting with the farmers, advised them to adopt the income generating activities in the agriculture sector to improve their economic status, with special focus on women farmers. He emphasised the need for more such training programs by the department in collaboration with KVK and NABARD for uplift of farmers. The Deputy Director General also handed over the KCC card to an eligible farmer on the occasion.
District Agriculture Officer informed the farmers about the training program in which hands-on training was imparted to the participants on Dhingri Mushroom cultivation, Apiculture and natural farming.
Head KVK Reasi Dr Banarsi Lal, while welcoming the dignitaries from ICAR, elaborated about importance of value addition in agriculture products and entrepreneurship development in agriculture.
DDM NABARD, AEO Dharan Sanjay Sharma, Anita Kumari from Duggar Dhani Kheral, Field staff and ATMs were also present.
