MUMBAI, Nov 20: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties belonging to Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City and Millennium Business Park as part of an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The action follows a series of financial inquiries conducted by the agency into alleged irregularities involving associated entities and transactions.

According to officials, the attached assets include significant portions of land and infrastructure located within the two major commercial hubs. The ED stated that the attachment is a provisional measure aimed at securing assets suspected to be linked to the proceeds of crime identified during the probe.

The agency noted that the investigation has been underway for several months, focusing on financial trails, fund movements, and corporate linkages connected to the case. Officials indicated that multiple rounds of document examination and stakeholder questioning have taken place, contributing to the decision to initiate the attachment process.

Both Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City and Millennium Business Park are well-known business complexes housing corporate offices, technology units, and commercial establishments. The attachment, officials said, is not expected to disrupt regular operations at the premises but is intended to ensure that the assets remain under legal scrutiny as the investigation progresses.

The ED emphasized that further inquiry is ongoing and that additional actions may be taken depending on the findings. The agency reiterated its commitment to conducting an impartial and rigorous investigation into suspected financial misconduct and safeguarding public interest.

Officials added that a detailed report would be prepared for submission to the adjudicating authority, which will review the evidence and decide on the confirmation of the attachment. The case continues to remain under active examination.
