Mumbai: The trailer for the upcoming streaming special Dining with the Kapoors was unveiled on Saturday. The special brings together members of Hindi cinema’s first film dynasty as they celebrate the centenary of Bollywood icon Raj Kapoor, son of the legendary Prithviraj Kapoor.

The gathering features Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Rima Jain, Ranbir Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and Aadar Jain — a rare coming together of Bollywood royalty that highlights love, legacy, and togetherness.

Created by Armaan Jain and directed by Smriti Mundhra, the one-hour special offers an intimate, fly-on-the-wall look at one of India’s most beloved film families. Viewers are invited to sit in on the Kapoor family’s laughter, stories, and heartfelt memories — from playful banter to sentimental reflections — all tied together by their shared love for food.

Director Smriti Mundhra said, “Working with Netflix again after Indian Matchmaking, Never Have I Ever, and The Romantics feels like a homecoming. Telling a story about family and legacy at a time when life often pulls us away from those values is truly special.”

She added, “The Kapoors aren’t just a Bollywood dynasty—they’re the kind of warm, fun, food-loving family everyone wishes they could be part of. I wanted to capture not just their story, but the feeling of being at the table with them, witnessing the laughter, stories, and unfiltered moments when the performance fades. I’m grateful to Armaan Jain and the entire Kapoor family for allowing me to be a small part of their legacy.”

Dining with the Kapoors premieres on November 21 on Netflix.
