SRINAGAR: Director General of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), Sonali Mishra, today met with Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo to review and discuss key aspects of railway security in Jammu & Kashmir, focusing on asset protection and passenger safety.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary and DG RPF conducted a detailed review of the current security situation, recent enhancements in security infrastructure, and measures taken following the integration of Kashmir’s railway network with the national system.
Discussions also addressed operational and security protocols for freight trains, which are scheduled to run regularly on the newly connected railway line. Both officials highlighted the strategic significance of this connectivity in promoting trade, tourism, and overall commerce in the region.
Notably, this was the first meeting between Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and DG RPF Sonali Mishra, adding special importance to the occasion.
