Divisional Commissioner Visits Shri Machail Mata Temple; Reviews Development Works and Pilgrim Facilities
KISHTWAR: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, yesterday paid obeisance at the revered Shri Machail Mata Temple in Machail, Kishtwar, seeking blessings of the holy deity for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the region’s people.
He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, SSP Kishtwar, and SDM Paddar.
During the visit, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the progress of ongoing development works along the Chisoti–Machail route, at Shri Machail Mata Bhawan, and the Yatra Parisar being constructed near the temple. He assessed the pace and quality of these works, aimed at enhancing facilities for pilgrims.


He also inspected the Yatri Bhawan being constructed under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and the Dormitory being developed by the Tourism Department. The Divisional Commissioner directed officials to expedite the completion of all ongoing projects to ensure improved amenities for devotees and visitors.
Taking stock of the existing facilities at Machail, he instructed the concerned departments to increase the number of utility units and ensure their proper upkeep. He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness and functionality of all facilities for the convenience and comfort of pilgrims.
The Divisional Commissioner further reviewed the progress on the Palali–Machail Road Project, which is set to provide direct road connectivity to the sacred Machail Mata Darbar, significantly improving accessibility for devotees.
