SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg, today chaired a meeting to review the status of migrant grievance redressal and related issues.
The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioners, Additional Commissioners, Assistant Commissioner Central, OSD, and the Law Officer.
During the session, Garg instructed all Deputy Commissioners to appoint Nodal Officers in their respective offices specifically for addressing migrant grievances. He emphasized the need for proper documentation of all complaints and stressed timely action and consistent follow-up to ensure effective resolution.
He also highlighted that all pending court cases concerning migrants should be actively pursued and closely monitored for swift settlement. Special attention was directed towards identifying and removing encroachments on migrant properties and land.
Garg underscored the importance of professionally managing both online and offline grievance mechanisms to ensure quality and timely disposal. He further directed that temple lands be demarcated as per court orders and any encroachments removed without delay.
Finally, he instructed that data from the Deputy Commissioners’ offices and the Div Com office be synchronized to prevent duplication and repetition of cases.
