Shopian, Nov 21: The District Magistrate Shopian today chaired a meeting of the District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee (DLSCC) to review and decide cases related to assistance for victims of terror-related incidents in the district. The meeting brought together officers from the concerned departments to evaluate pending applications and verify eligibility as per the established guidelines.
During the session, the Committee examined multiple cases seeking financial relief, employment assistance and other forms of support for affected families. Each case was discussed in detail with regard to documentary evidence, verification reports and recommendations from the field agencies.
The District Magistrate stressed the need for timely disposal of all genuine cases to ensure that families impacted by violence receive assistance without unnecessary delay. He directed officers to maintain transparency in the process and to ensure that all required verifications are completed promptly.
Officials were instructed to extend full cooperation to affected families and to streamline the documentation and approval process wherever possible. The District Magistrate reiterated the administration’s commitment to providing adequate relief and support to victims in accordance with government norms.
The meeting concluded with directions for follow-up action on approved cases and submission of updated reports for cases requiring additional verification.
