The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) has detained a doctor and his wife for their alleged involvement in unlawful activities, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
According to officials, the action was taken after credible inputs suggested the couple’s suspected links to activities considered detrimental to national security. Following the leads, CIK teams conducted searches at their residence and workplace, during which several items relevant to the investigation were seized.
Both individuals have been taken into custody for questioning to determine the extent of their involvement and to identify any other persons potentially connected to the case.
Officials said that further details cannot be shared at this stage as the investigation is still in progress.
