DODA: More than 68,000 children are being covered under an ongoing district-wide immunisation drive in Doda, with the administration and health department making concerted efforts to ensure that every eligible child receives the required vaccine.
Officials said the drive targets children in the age group of 0 to 5 years and is being carried out through a network of fixed vaccination booths, mobile teams and door-to-door visits. Special focus is being laid on reaching children in remote, hilly and hard-to-access areas of the district.
The health department, with support from the district administration, has deployed trained health workers, supervisors and volunteers to ensure smooth implementation of the programme. Awareness activities have also been intensified to encourage parents and guardians to actively participate and get their children immunised.
Authorities said continuous monitoring is being carried out to ensure full coverage and timely response to any gaps during the drive. Parents have been urged to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure that no child is left out.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the health of children and called for collective support from the community to make the immunisation drive a success in Doda.
