National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday paid heartfelt tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, recalling his supreme sacrifice and unwavering commitment to uphold religious freedom and human dignity. He said Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s teachings of courage, compassion, and unity continue to inspire generations across the nation.
Dr Abdullah noted that the ninth Sikh Guru’s martyrdom remains a timeless reminder of the values of tolerance and harmony, which are essential for strengthening the social fabric of the country. He urged people to follow the Guru’s message of peace and stand against injustice in all its forms.
He also extended greetings to the Sikh community on the occasion and emphasised the importance of promoting interfaith respect and understanding in Jammu and Kashmir and beyond.
