Jammu: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Sunday said the Congress is on the verge of extinction in the country.

Speaking at the BJP’s one-day organizational workshop at the party headquarters here, Singh said, “Every Indian is politically and emotionally connected with J&K, which places a greater responsibility on the BJP cadre in the region.” He urged leaders to work at the grassroots level and address people’s concerns.

Highlighting the development in J&K since 2014, when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, Singh said, “The Congress once mocked the BJP for its small numbers in Parliament, but today, as it stands exposed, it is on the brink of extinction.”

The workshop was attended by BJP national general secretary and J&K in-charge Tarun Chugh, state unit president Sat Sharma, Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, and other senior party leaders including office bearers, morcha heads, and district presidents.

Chugh expressed solidarity with the people of J&K and other northern states hit by heavy rains and flash floods. He said relief material was being sent from other states and urged BJP cadres to better understand J&K’s socio-political realities to address public issues.

He also criticized rival parties for prioritizing personal gains over national interest.

Sat Sharma called for complete coordination among leaders at all levels, stressing that the workshop should help set clear goals with renewed energy. He praised party workers for actively assisting flood-affected communities.
