Srinagar: Police on Tuesday arrested a suspected drug peddler in south Kashmir’s Shopian district and seized contraband from his possession.
The arrest was made during a checking operation near the Government Higher Secondary School in Hermain, officials said.
Police recovered 164 grams of a charas-like substance from the accused.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Shopian police station, and further investigation is in progress.
